Jessica Thomas: National Women's History Month Spotlight
In honor of National Women's History Month, Spread Your Sunshine is highlighting female entrepreneurs and trailblazers who inspire us. Today’s positive inspiration is none other than Jessica Thomas.
Jessica is a Central Florida attorney who overcame several adversities to attend law school and ultimately establish her own law firm, Thomas Law Firm, PLLC. She focuses her practice on family law, dependency law, and adoption law, through which she serves as a fierce advocate for all of her clients.
She is a champion for women's rights throughout the community, as evidenced by her service on the Boards of Directors of the Women Resource Center and Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers, volunteerism with the Children’s Home Society, and mentorship of students and young professionals. She consistently paves the way for women in the workplace through her advocacy for breast-feeding, maternity leave, work-life balance, minority rights, and more.
What often attracts people to Jessica is her megawatt smile, affectionate personality, and her use of her platforms to shine a light on the people in her life. In fact, at the end of 2019, she “went viral” when she took the time to thank a theme park employee who helped her when she became claustrophobic on a park ride with her children. Her enthusiastic advocacy for all those around her helps to make the world a brighter and more positive place.
For all these reasons and so many more, we couldn’t let Women’s History Month pass without inspiring the Spread Your Sunshine community by sharing Jessica’s story. Keep shining brightly, Jessica, you’re truly amazing!!
