Dr. Anila Jain: National Women's History Month Spotlight
In honor of National Women's History Month, Spread Your Sunshine is highlighting female entrepreneurs and trailblazers who inspire us. Today’s positive inspiration is none other than Dr. Anila Jain.
Physician and medical consultant, tireless supporter of education, ardent advocate of the University of South Florida, longtime mentor, leader of local women in STEM, and champion of the health and well-being of abused and neglected children. These are just a few of the many titles and accolades Dr. Jain has amassed during her impressive and distinguished career.
As a former President of the University of South Florida’s Alumni Association and recipient of its Distinguished Alumni Award, Dr. Jain pours herself into all facets of her life, profession, and community.
Renowned for her volunteerism, she is a founding member and former Chair of USF Women in Leadership and Philanthropy, recipient of the American Medical Women's Association National Service Award, and member of the Kappa Delta Sorority, including as the former National Chair of its Foundation.
When asked how and why she balances so many projects and initiatives, Dr. Jain humbly states, “I think it’s important to do whatever you can to make a difference, whether it means giving of your money, time or talent. No matter the amount or form of the gift, it will make a difference.”
She absolutely does - what an inspiration you are, Dr. Jain! Thank you for blazing such an incredible trail on behalf of all of the women and girls in your community and well beyond. You totally rock!!
